memoirs of a filmmaker
it was a gloomy afternoon, I was excited and was also terrified to see the response of my first film. I put a lot of effort and money into making this film. the theatre was filled with silence. people rarely reacted to the most important scenes of the movie. the audience didn't react to the scenes in the way that I expected. the bad response to the film sent me into emotional turmoil. I thought that it was the end of the world. but I couldn't forget the one thing that happened during all the screenings of my movie that was the audience's response to a particular dreamlike horror scene where the protagonist was lying in her bed and was unable to move and a horrifying grotesque figure tormented her and finally killed her. the audience's reaction to the scene was tremendous audience loved that scene, they loved to be terrified. so as a last effort with all the money I had and some borrowed money I made a horror film. the film was about a masked killer who killed the women in their city. and the story was narrated from the point of view of the killer. the audience loved the movie. they loved the adrenaline rush. the thrills and chills of encountering a killer, but little did they know that the murders they saw were real.
